What can I expect when I arrive on September 13th?
Is the church doing in-person services?
Beginning on September 13, 2020 True North will begin hosting Sunday services at 8:30am, 10am and 11:30am. We are following New York State guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and staff and will have reduced seating capacity in the auditorium. To adhere to social distancing requirements, seats will be spaced 6 feet apart and those who live in the same household may sit together.
What are the service options?
Our main services will take place in the auditorium and we will also host separate services in our youth room for families with children grade 5 and under. As always, our services will continue to be streamed live online and posted later during the week here.
How am I able to attend the in-person service?
You will need to register weekly online and you can find the registration links through the banner on our homepage. Registration opens every Sunday after 1pm and closes on Wednesdays at midnight. If the services are filled, you can opt to be added to our waitlist. You’ll be notified via email if a space becomes available.
Do I need to wear a mask?
Masks are required to enter the building until you are seated for the service. During worship if you are singing, you’ll be asked to wear a mask, but may remove it during the message. When moving throughout the building masks are required. We ask you kindly to heed the instructions of our volunteers and staff.
What if I don't have a face mask?
That’s ok! We will have new masks on hand to provide to those who need them.
What is the church doing to maintain cleanliness?
The church is being professionally cleaned multiple times a week to disinfect and sanitize the building. In addition, volunteers will be disinfecting the auditorium and family service spaces after each service with a disinfectant solution. There are also multiple hand sanitizing stations throughout the building for you to use.
Am I able to use the bathroom?
Yes, we will have bathrooms available for use. All our bathrooms have been disinfected and sanitized and they will be cleaned after each service. There will be limits to how many people may be in the bathrooms at a time and volunteers and a professional cleaning team will maintain cleanliness.
Is there a quiet space I can still take in service with my infant?
Yes! We will be using the nursery room for parents who need to feed their babies still within socially distanced parameters and the service will be livestreamed as well.
How can I give?
Online giving is encouraged however we will have offering stations in the rear of the auditorium for you to use as you leave service. If you haven’t already signed up to give online, you may do so here.
I missed the registration. What can I do?
You may sign up to be added to our waitlist and you’ll get an email if space becomes available for you to attend service. You will also be able to watch our online broadcasts here.
Will online services continue?
They sure will! People have always tuned in to our services from around the globe and we want to remain connected to those who aren’t able to return to services just yet. We will continue to broadcast our services here and they will be posted later in the week. You may view our video archive of past messages here.
Change of plans! I registered and can't make it...what do I do now?
No need to worry! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can remove your name from our attendee list.
Will community groups be meeting?
Yes, they will continue to meet. If you are already in a group, you should be hearing from your group leader soon. If you are looking to join a group click here. Some groups are meeting in person and others will be meeting on Zoom.
I don't know about coming to a service yet...are there other ways to connect?
There sure are! You may email email@example.com to help serve in other areas of the church based on your availability, such as hosting during online services, volunteering with our Love Others Market and volunteering during the week. Certain community groups will be meeting via Zoom and you can check them out here.
Will the church be offering children's ministry?
As we prepare our children's environments and rebuild our volunteer teams, families with kids 5th grade and under will be seated at a table in our youth auditorium for an experience designed for the whole family. Click here for infomation about our family services.
Thanks for your patience as we continue to prepare those rooms for your kids when we launch phase 2 as well as rebuild our volunteer teams so we are able to provide a safe and clean environment for your little ones.
While we will be hosting family services, these are not drop-off children’s environments. Children must not be left unattended. If you would like to RSVP to our family service, click visit our homepage and click the banner to register for services.
